The nature of scallop gear (small section, very hard steels) and the environment it works in, means that ANY faults in quality are quickly observed and catch rates are immediately lowered – or to put it another way, bad gear falls to bits or wears out very quickly allowing scallops to escape!
Rigorous Quality Control Processes
We have rigorous quality control procedures which carry on throughout the manufacturing process leading to a final check which must be passed before dispatch. For example all our scallop bellies experience 5 quality control checks at different stages of manufacture before they leave our factory.
